Looking for someone who will change your life? Look in the mirror…

I was going through my Instagram posts when someone posted this “If you are looking for that person who will change your life, look in the mirror.”

That got me thinking, how many times we been seeking for someone to relight and rejuvenate the motivation and the inspiration in us. We are always looking for that “guardian angel” to approach us and give us the ‘dont give up’talk we may need.

I last wrote of this example from the ‘Arrow’ movie series where Oliver Queen must let the light inside him outshine the darkness for him to defeat the Ras Al Ghul.

Focusing on our inner-self and identifying our accomplishments and strongholds might help re-instate the hope we may be lacking. Majorly, letting our thought on our achievements outdo our failures and weakest points.

I bet am learning quite a lot from movies too. A precinct detective was almost about to quit when his captain made him digitize all the cases he’d ever solved. You might be familiar with this scene. To everyone’s dismay, the detective didn’t quit the next day. Going through the cases made him realize how much he had achieved and that made him stronger to hold on and serve the precinct.

“That was a movie, not reality” you might claim. Well, trust me, you might be the hope you’ve always been looking for.

While growing up, the norm has always been ‘think outside the box’. That works, but sometimes, check the box first. Ever meet a person who wants to become a great singer but they’ll keep seeing others as the only great singers. Not realizing the power bestowed in themselves; they are the greatest singers ever only that they haven’t realized it yet.

The points is, you are the greatest thing that has ever happened to you. You are also the greatest source of hope you can ever find. Once again, if you are looking for a person who will change your life, look in the mirror.
